Eric Brahms's excellent reputation for consistent gains, even in periods of fickle market behavior, eventually led him to found the Mae Fund in 2012, where he serves as Senior Trader.Eric Brahms conducts analysis of all bond positions and equities in the fund's portfolio and works with a group of planners with extensive experience in tailoring specific products to the individual needs of the client. Brahms received his education at Boston University and The American University. From an early point in his life, Eric Brahms held an interest in bonds and playing the stock market, and he applied his education in this arena by commencing his career as a trader on the New York Mercantile Exchange. After the extreme volatility of the Persian Gulf War, Brahms realized there was profit to be made by taking advantage of the natural (historical) seasonal fluctuations in supply and demand of crude oil and natural gas, so he focused on those sectors.During the 1990s, Brahms began working as a NASDAQ market maker, making bids and offers for NASDAQ securities, thereby transitioning into what he felt was a reduced stress occupation with greater stability. Until the NASDAQ changed to decimals in 2001, he worked at making markets for a number of major company stocks, such as JDS Uniphase and Cisco. Continuing as a day trader after the niche for market makers dissolved, Eric Brahms spent the next decade trading his own accounts using careful analysis of price-earnings ratios and supporting his trades through the latest scanning and charting programs.
