I essentially wear two hats. I am a videogame design consultant, working primarily through Big Solutions Group and VGM. If you want a critical-but-objective analysis of a pre-published game, website, or piece of software, I can help. From spec reviews to full deep-dive dissections complete with SWOTs and competitive comparisons, I explore a product's strengths, light flares around its weaknesses, identify what reviewers will love and hate, and deliver a dead-honest comprehensive analysis that helps my client make their product the best it can be.I am also a writer. If you need someone to fashion something out of words, I'm your man. I cut my teeth creating irresistible "feature-style" content and also have expertise with tech writing, educational/instructional material, marketing copy (social media posts, email drip campaigns, whitepapers, entire websites), narrative summaries, and most anything else one might need. I specialize in technology and videogame-related work. For example, I wrote the script and mission text for Glu's mobile games Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation and Contract Killer: Sniper, and currently count multiple indie developers as clients. But I can deliver most anything you might need, particularly if it's related to geek culture, the environment, or technology. The freelance life can be hectic, but I greatly value the experience. It has absolutely expanded my skill set and enabled me to grow as a writer, consultant, marketer, and pop culture analyst.

Jul 2011 - Present

Editor In Chief, Gamesradar.Com

I was the founding Executive Editor and Editor in Chief for GamesRadar US, a videogame website that specialized in the culture, content, and comedy of video games. It was my privilege to assemble and oversee an incredible team of gifted writers, artists, and videographers, whose tireless work and awe-inspiring talent enabled GamesRadar to stand tall amid some very large and entrenched competitors. In fact, our site's engagement metrics actually dwarfed those of the mighty facebook—that's a stat I'll be proud of for the rest of my career.

Nov 2009 - Jun 2011

Executive Editor, Gamesradar

See "Editor in Chief" above.

Oct 2005 - Nov 2009

Associate Editor, Psm Magazine

Headed up first strategy and then also reviews for the best-selling PlayStation brand-focused magazine in the US

Apr 2002 - Oct 2005

Associate Editor, Next Generation Magazine

Handled all manner of articles (various previews, reviews, features and news, as well as the Milestones and Retroview sections) at one of the most respected video gaming magazines of all time. Best foot-in-the-door job ever, and I still miss it sometimes.
