About Eric Brodnax

A seasoned digital executive, strategic advisor and change agent, I have a track record of driving rapid revenue growth at both venture backed startups and as the leader of a division within larger companies. I am an experienced President/General Manager who has managed P&Ls of over $150 million, has experience leading all critical functions within a business, and has a demonstrated ability to recruit and retain teams. Recently, as President of CoStar’s Land for Sale division, I achieved growth rates in excess of 50% per year for 3 years and ultimately quadrupled the size of the business. In the process, I rebuilt our product offering, completely revamped our sales approach and recruited a new team, and acquired and integrated our most significant competitor to create the largest network of land for sale websites in the US. Given CoStar’s multiples on sales and EBITDA, I created half a billion dollars in shareholder value in three years.I have cofounded and scaled multiple startups, including The Away Network which we grew to become the largest marketplace for adventure travel and other experiential vacations, and which was subsequently acquired by Orbitz. At a functional leadership level, I have directly led marketing, business development, ecommerce, product management/development, and data/analytics, and as a President/General Manager/COO I have led all other functions of a standalone business.I have served on the Board of Directors/Advisors of a number of companies and associations in the travel and outdoor industry, including the Adventure Travel Trade Association, Sustainable Travel International, and Orvis, and in the period following college I competed on the Olympic team at the Pan-American Games in Indianapolis and the Olympic Games in Seoul, Korea.
