As a Technical Consultant - Virtualization I am involved on and gained a lot of experience in the field of virtualization and backup/disaster recovery technologies from VMware, Microsoft and Veeam.At SLTN / Inter Access my occupation is mainly focussed on designing, implementing and often performing troubleshooting and performance optimizing efforts on the Workplace 2.0 concept.This concept is a customer specific (virtual)workplace and mobility solution that is offered as a cloud and on-premise solution.Used solutions differ greatly per customer and a broad range of different hardware and software platforms are used. Common implementation are based on VMware Hypervisors, Windows Server and client operating systems, Microsoft base infra solutions, Citrix XenApp/Citrix XenDesktop/Citrix NetScaler/etc, Microsoft Unified Communications and RES Workplace management solutions.My primairy competencies lie in the field of virtualization and I have a strong background on the management of large scale, often Microsoft and VMware based, infrastructure environments.My focus has never been to become a product specialist (not before and not now) and because of this I've worked with a divers set of solutions in the Workplace 2.0 solution.

As IT Architect at ThyssenKrupp I was responsible for continuous development of the IT Infrastructure as well as developing IT solutions to answer business requirements while maintaining the focus on the IT Strategy that the TKE CENE IT Strategy department, and myself as a member of this department, have set out for the ThyssenKrupp Elevator CENE business.In my role I’m required to:- Further develop the company's existing IT architecture/infrastructure, and technology portfolio and maintaining appropriate documentation. - Maintain in-depth knowledge of company's strategic business plans.- Provide architectural consulting expertise, direction, and assistance to regional IT Systems Engineers.- Develop, document, communicate, and enforce a technology standards policy.- Design, develop, and oversee implementation of end-to-end integrated systems.- Develop and execute test plans to check infrastructure and systems technical performance. Report on findings and make recommendations for improvement.- Conduct research on emerging technologies in support of infrastructure development efforts, and recommend technologies that will increase cost effectiveness and infrastructure flexibility.

As Technical Delivery Manager I was responsible for providing the technical IT services that ThyssenKrupp CENE IT delivers in this region. This includes, amongst others, implementation and coördination within the technical infrastructure, performing IT projects with a wide variety and troubleshooting to improve the infrastructure in the Benelux.Besides this I was responsible for managing several servicedesk teams and function as the main escalation point for the Dutch Servicedesk and system engineers.

I performed network and system administration and was manager of the ICT support desk for ThyssenKrupp Elevators Netherlands

During my work for FMA I was assigned to the ThyssenKrupp Elevator account to perform multiple roles and have later decided to work directly for ThyssenKrupp Elevator.

Reasons for this were the limited size of the company, which requires your involvement on very diverse projects, but also the full service delivery model which required AAO to serve any solution for all customers IT requirements.
