Clinical Team Leader
Portland, Oregon, United States
Windhorse Integrative Mental Health (WIMH) is a nonprofit organization committed to providing mindfulness-informed, compassionate, team-based care to individuals experiencing life-disrupting psychiatric distress. Clients live in their own apartment with a therapeutic housemate. They meet with a team of counselors, who spent spend time with them during 1-3 hour shifts throughout the week. These shifts are dedicated to whatever the client needs at that time: friendly conversation, support toward personal or professional goals, emotional support during difficult times, companionship while engaging in hobbies, space and/or silence when desired, etc. The pervasive therapeutic mode at WIMH is relational, where staff are encouraged to bring as much of the full, authentic selves as possible to the treatment process. Many staff members experience mutual recovery as well, such that they also feel healed from the work.As a Clinical Team Leader, my responsibilities include:• Oversee 3-4 treatment teams• Engage in 10-20 hours of direct client contact each week, providing therapeutic services • Facilitate weekly team meetings• Provide weekly one-on-one supervision to therapeutic housemates and team counselors• Work in tandem with team psychotherapists to develop client treatment programs and provide case management services • Provide on-call crisis services two weeks each quarterly period• Interview prospective therapeutic housemate candidates
