I have completed my Environmental Studies degree at Trent University and the Ecosystem Management Technology program at Sir Sandford Fleming College. These opportunities have allowed me to become proficient in both hard and soft skills valuable for working in the environmental field. At Trent University, I became proficient in using data entry software (ex. Microsoft Office), report research / writing, and critical thinking skills. At Sir Sandford Fleming College, I was able to further develop my field skills including Tree ID and Environmental Remediation. This experience also strengthened my skills in using ArcGIS and conducting environmental protocols like OWES, OSAP, EIS, and ELC. My volunteer and work experience thus far has also allowed me to communicate with many amazing people in the field and show me the passion that exists within the environmental field. At my most recent position as a Trail Ambassador for the Bruce Trail Conservancy, I was able to lead iNaturalist forest hikes, create social media posts, and help establish the new Seed Garden within the Blue Mountains section. I strongly believe that helping people learn and engage with environmental issues is very important for protecting the planet's amazing diversity.I greatly enjoy working in either an indoor or outdoor environment, where I can make meaningful connections with the community and further develop my skills. I am also very passionate about digital art and hope to integrate this hobby into something meaningful for others in the near future.
