Jun 2021 - Apr 2022

Carbonate Stratigraphy Research Team | Geoscience Technician (Geologist)

Spring, Texas, United States

Conducted research in dual-porosity carbonate systems to predict distribution of dynamic properties, their impact on in-place volumes, and evaluate reservoir connectivity. Applied research across upstream organization to provide solutions to business challenges. Deployed technology through training, mentoring, and advising. • Improved reservoir modeling and simulation, recoverable volumes, well performance modeling, and drill hazard prediction by defining size distribution of dissolution features in carbonates ranging in scale from topographic features (>=10s of meters), borehole image logs (meters), and thin sections (micron).o Defined statistical distributions of near seismic scale (10s-100s of meters) features used in reservoir models by characterizing surface depression from LiDAR. Results presented at American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG) Annual Conference and Exhibition (ACE) 2019.https://www.abstractsonline.com/pp8/#!/6795/presentation/3784.o Quantitatively characterized mega-porosity (cm to m scale) from acoustic wellbore image logs by developing workflow that integrates WellCad and Trimble’s eCognition software.o Quantified macroporosity from thin section scans resulting in pore size distribution functions used as inputs for reservoir models.• Evaluated pore systems by integrating quantitative characterization of thin section scans with core analysis, well test, and log data in projects from Brazil, North Caspian, Middle East, and Vietnam. • Lead for implementing studies and training geoscientists to use quantitative digital petrography to characterize pore space and mineralogy of thin section scans. Deployed technology across upstream organization.• Advanced carbonate research and training by coordinating and executing field research and training operations. Implemented ArcGIS base maps and Arc Online use to allow for efficient field activities, data collection, and real-time decision making.

Jan 2018 - Feb 2021

Petroleum Geochemistry Research Team | Geoscience Technician (Geologist)

Spring, Tx

Analyzed geochemical data (molecular biomarkers, stable isotope composition, fluid inclusion volatiles, source rock analysis, and physical properties) and subsurface information to evaluate reservoir connectivity, fluid migration, and maturity.• Empowered Geochemistry team’s research efficiency with spatial integration of heritage, vendor, and field data in ArcGIS.• Designed geospatial Tableau dashboard to track research projects, facilitating collaboration and budgeting targets.• Key contributor within interdisciplinary team that applied isotopic geochemistry, molecular biology, and water column imaging techniques to analyze seafloor hydrocarbon seeps to evaluate hydrocarbon type and maturity, and reservoir size and temperature. Technologies were adopted within ExxonMobil and patents granted.o Prioritized marine seep sampling locations by interpreting seismic data to evaluate structural spill points and corresponding ocean bottom amplitude anomalies.

Dec 2014 - Dec 2017

Gulf Of Mexico Exploration | Geoscience Technician (Geologist)

Houston, Texas Area

Integral team member for wild catting, prospecting, seismic processing, regional studies, technology development, lease sales, and joint ventures to generate and test exploration opportunities and add competitive advantages.• Interpreted new structural trap prospects to add to global exploration inventory by analyzing seismic surfaces using ‘fill to spill' analysis in Petrel and Petromod. • Provided improved subsurface confidence and competitive advantage by interpreting base of salt surfaces in Petrel. These surfaces were used in seismic reprocessing project to constrain depth and geometry more accurately in seismic data.• Key contributor to regional basin studies by stitching sub-basin scale seismic interpretations into greater Gulf of Mexico wide surface for regional architecture, facies distribution, and prospect generation.• Innovated spatial and interactive solutions for Global Prospect Inventory (GPI) and Competitor Scout Reporting by designing tools to streamline updates, ensure data integrity, and make products interactive and accessible for management and technical teams.

Customer Service Agent

Bloomington, Mn

Took some time after college to make my hobby into a career! I started work as an order picker in the warehouse and was quickly promoted through order receiving, wheel building, and bike building to the position of customer service agent.
