In January of 2024, I accepted a position with the Milwaukee Brewers where I will be working as a Development Coach with the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers. I will be working with catchers and outfielders among other areas.My coaching career began in 2004 at my alma mater, Mount Union, as an infield and outfield coach. After nine years as both a player and coach in Alliance, I left to pursue my master's degree at North Central College as the infield coach. After two years with the Cardinals, and a conference championship, I left with my degree back to the great state of Ohio, where I made the jump from Division III to Division II at Lake Erie College where I worked with infielders and catchers.In three years, the Storm made its first-ever conference tournament since transitioning to Division II, setting a then-school record for wins, and then earned back-to-back postseason berths for the first time in school history. After the 2013 season, I took a position at Saint Joseph's College as their infield coach. In four years, we ranked as high as 32nd in fielding percentage at .968. Unfortunately, we missed the playoffs by a single game in back-to-back seasons from 2015-16. But we were rewarded for our persistence in 2017, with a trip to both the conference tournament and the NCAA tournament and were ranked as high as 14th nationally.I took an eight-month hiatus from coaching from August 2016 to April 2017, when I was the Director of Athletic Fundraising at Saint Joe. While my time in advancement was brief, we were able to establish the base for many new projects that helped raise nearly $150,000 in less than one academic year.After Saint Joe closed its doors, I spent one season at the University of Chicago where we tied the school record for wins in 2018. While with the Maroons, I worked with the infielders, hitters, and base runners.I spent five and a half years at Youngstown State University from 2018-24, where I worked with hitters, catchers, and outfielders. During that time, we set several program records and won over 30 games for only the second time in program history.
