His family has been an integral part of the city for over a century beginning with his grandparents who settled in Washington in the early 1900’s. After starting their own grocery and liquor stores, they began investing in real estate throughout the city. With family living across DC, Maryland, and Virginia, there are few who know the area and its unique neighborhoods like Eric.

During his 12 years at top agencies nationwide, his clientele included a long list of Fortune 500 companies—America Online, Walt Disney, Microsoft, Lockheed Martin, Mattel, Paramount Pictures, Viacom and UPS, to name a few.As a result, Eric gained extensive media production and client service skills, a killer Rolodex, and the knowledge that the traditional agency model could be vastly improved upon for both clients and staff.  Hence, he founded Burka Studios in 2001 to create a completely different media production studio—one that customizes a team to match specific client needs. Eric is co-founder/owner of yudu, an organic clothing company dedicated to using green materials and to donating a percentage of its profits to nonprofits committed to social and environmental change. He serves on the board of directors of Concord Hill School in Chevy Chase, Maryland, and Most Valuable Kids—a nonprofit organization providing underserved children access to sports and entertainment events through an online ticket donation system. For six years, he was vice president of the board of Imagination Stage in Bethesda, Maryland.A third generation Washingtonian, Eric lives in Chevy Chase with his wife, three children and numerous animals. He graduated with a B.S. in Business Management from Arizona State University.

Worked with the producer to arrange and supervise on-camera interviews with celebrities for Entertainment Tonight.
