About Eric Buttignon
My education in aquaculture is mainly linked to the university studies I decided to undertake at University of Bologna where I graduated in Aquaculture and Fish Production Hygiene. I completed the cycle of studies writing a thesis on “Lymphocystivirus quantitation and detection in tissues of Paralichthys olivaceus” because I believe that a correct knowledge and prevention of diseases is the basis for the development of a sustainable and drug- free culture. It was very rewarding as my thesis was awarded in the 2018 competition of the Italian Association of Fish Pathologists.
