Head Of BiomarkersCelimmune Jun 2015 - Jan 2018Designed and implemented a biomarker plan for a first of its kind phase 2 clinical trial the treatment of type II refractory celiac disease, an in situ intestinal T cell lymphoma, with an anti-IL15 monoclonal antibody. Formulated cell purification and flow cytometry-based analysis of intraepithelial and lamina propria lymphocytes for use across six international sites. Wrote manual and directed training of personnel at each site to ensure uniformity of samples and their analysis for the study. Identified, sourced, and coordinated delivery of reagents to all sites for execution of biomarker plan. Represented Celimmune in interactions with KOLs and technical experts for review of study plans. Provided scientific analysis and assisted in interactions with regulatory agencies in US and Europe. Study recruiting subjects as of April 2016. Also responsible for review, analysis and reporting of data for primary, secondary and exploratory endpoints. Will contribute to clinical report, papers and plans for potential follow on studies.

Work led to the filing of patents for methods of promoting T cell priming in vivo.

Bevan. Established for the first time that the tremendous expansion of CD8+ T cells seen in response to LCMV infection is almost entirely virus-specific. Findings were published in Immunity and have been widely cited.
