As the VP of Specialty Retail at Leslie's, I oversee the financial strategy and management, marketing and merchandising, and operations of two Pittsburgh-based leading pool, spa, and outdoor/indoor leisure retailers: Valley Pool & Spa and Pool City. Following the acquisition of Valley Pool & Spa in 2018, I successfully led the integration of Pool City in 2022, expanding Leslie's market share and presence in the Pittsburgh area. I also leveraged my 12+ years of experience and expertise in the hot tub industry to serve as the lead consultant for Leslie's Hot Tub Initiative, a groundbreaking project that launched the world's first national hot tub retail presence in 2019.My mission is to take pool and spa retailing to the next level through big thinking, innovation, and excellence. I have effectively led the opening of additional store locations and facilitated significant team and annual revenue growth. Through my strategic initiatives, we successfully developed an ecommerce division of the company, and grew from a 15,000 sq ft distribution center, to over 70,000 sq ft in under 3 years. Through this constant growth, even through the 08-09 recession, Valley's success has not gone unnoticed and was acquired by the world's largest Pool & Spa Retailer, Leslie's.
