Led autonomy product efforts for Self-Driving Vehicles/Robotics at Uber Advanced Technologies Group (ATG) by driving the development efforts of the Perception, Prediction, Motion Planning, and Controls engineering teams. Product owner for major autonomy programs and driving strategy for technical development and commercialization of our core technologies. Technical areas of focus include safety-critical motion planning + prediction as well as system design and engineering. Multiple patents.

R&D lead for stealth robotics project for industrial automation at Facebook -- built the first MVP product to get exec sponsorship for standing up a full engineering team. Worked on everything from mechanical + electrical design to robot software (ROS, motion planning) to hardware certification (UL, FCC). Multiple patents. Also consulted on a few other FB products including Portal, LiveMaps, and Oculus/Reality Labs. Interned (3x) and then became full-time engineer on team built around internship project.

Various consulting roles in engineering, design, and product roles at early-stage XR and interactive robotics startups including VNTANA and Embodied (the creators of Moxie the Robot)

Academic research focused on developing scalable frameworks, designs, and computational approaches to human-robot interaction. Specific focus on developing interactive robots for teaching both social and computational concepts with methods that scale to other forms of embodiment (e.g. virtual embodiment) as well as to other applications. Projects supported by the National Robotics Initiative (NRI), National Science Foundation (NSF), Richardson Research Fellowship and USC Merit Research Award. Advised by Professor Maja Mataric, Professor Bilge Mutlu (UW-Madison), and Professor Gaurav Suhkatme.
