As I begin this new journey of Leadership of Contract Advisors and Sr. Contract Advisors, I look forward to bringing my engaged and relaxed management style to bear as we move the business forward in these new market arenas.As a Manager of Payor Strategy at UHS, I strengthened the UHS-NV Region's contract negotiation strategy with managed care companies and health plans, including HMOs, PPOs, TPAs and products for the Nevada Market. Gained almost 3 years' experience in that role and enhanced market share of the managed care program through tactical analysis of contract language, new product prospects and market changes.I evaluate contract, rate and reimbursement language and make recommendations regarding contractual associations. I develop contract language to protect the company's best interest and employ negotiation methods to satisfy financial and operational objectives. I offer guidance on rate proposals and negotiation approaches. I also provide analysis and reporting on existing contract performance to assist with planning and forecasting.
