- Leader of the Translational Drug development platform building for COVID-19 (in vitro, ex vivo, in vivo models, PK modelling, PKPD relationships assessment): Generation of preclinical evidence in support of treatment arms of clinical trial- Joint-Leadership of DNDi entire Discovery/Lead Optimization effort- Responsible for the team that delivered pre-clinical candidates for Visceral Leishmaniasis (VL) as well as for their entire further preclinical development (regulatory IND-enabling studies)- Leadership role in translational research: Improve predictability of in vivo animal disease models, candidate compound PK/PD analysis and biomarkers identification and validation - Leader of DNDi Chagas Biomarkers strategy and its implementation- Definition with the Head of Clinical Program of the overall public health research strategy for Chagas disease at DNDi - Management and supervision of global project teams with partners from academia, pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies and contract research organizations

- Responsible for all activities in Chagas disease portfolio, from discovery to clinical candidate nomination- Led the multinational team that delivered pre-clinical candidates for Chagas disease- Definition with the Head of Clinical Program of the overall public health research strategy for Chagas disease at DNDi

- Responsible for all screening/early discovery activities for new drugs for neglected diseases (Human African Trypanosomiasis, Leishmaniasis, Chagas) in DNDi portfolio- Development and implementation of DNDi discovery strategy: transition from a project-based to a more strategic-oriented approach (portfolio) of DNDi screening/discovery activities; HTS in place for all 3 kinetoplastids, increased access to pharmaceutical compound libraries and strengthened ties with other Product Development Partnerships (GATB, MMV,DDU) and partners - Responsible for the development and application of High-Troughput/High-Content Screening assays with Insitut Pasteur Korea -for two parasites involved in DNDi core diseases- that significantly enhanced DNDi's capacity to consolidate its discovery pipeline and implement its discovery strategy

- Responsible for all preclinical research activities including the budgeting, planning and coordination with the other R&D departments and CROs, documentation and control- Active member of the R&D and Scientific Advisory Boards, acquainted with all processes, workflows and interfaces involved in project development and interacting with people of all disciplines at all levels- Involved in Innovation Management and Business Development activities with Head R&D: Work out ideas and proposals, develop concepts for new projects/products fitting with the company strategy; Evaluation –including Due Diligence- of possible collaborations opportunities with external partners such as university, industry/biotech and CRO and presentation to the company board- Biosafety Officer: Set-up and implementation of the company’s biosafety concept

- Planning, budgeting and set-up of two new laboratories. Set-up and use of new methods and models for formulation tolerance and efficacy assessment and topical delivery systems screening purposes- Participation together with Novartis, Pfizer, GSK and 3M at inter-laboratory pre-validation studies for the evaluation of the SkinEthic model as possible tool to assess the local tolerance of topical products
