I added 7 new reports for this expanded role. These staff oversee IT support in their applicable departments and centers. These dedicated/embedded staff were previously 'IT islands' on-their-own - I was charged with welcoming them into our larger college-wide IT organization. This provided them with more resources, collaboration, and increased consistency across CANR. I supply these staff with work prioritization, escalation, and general coaching/mentoring - ensuring staff and departmental goals are achieved. I work with department chairs and center directors to ensure service levels and support expectations are being met and exceeded.

I served as the Infrastructure Manager for the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources (CANR). In this role, I oversee servers, storage, networking (datacenter, edge closets, and ~100 remote offices), security, disaster recovery, backups, and technical training for CANR; including MSU Extension, AgBioResearch. I manage and ensure the professional development of a team of 4 system administrators and a technology trainer. My team and I architect, setup, maintain, upgrade, troubleshoot, document, secure, and train on all aspects of our technology resources for CANR. We support 1200+ users across Michigan.
