There is no hint of insincerity that would lead one to believe Eric is 'talking down' to others, but all this is symbolic of his genuine concern for simply being explicit and clear. And all of this is done with close attention to positivity and warmth, but conviction. I can say that in all my Board-related work in different organizations and even professionally, Eric's communication skills are superior and without equal. Beyond this and the many other strengths Eric has that relate to executive leadership, a final one I would like to highlight includes Eric's management of meetings and non-profits. In his role of Board Chair for our international board, Eric has expertly instructed trustees on ongoing board training, carefully articulating the role and function of members, as he has routinely led literally dozens of meetings and other functions. These, from monthly targeted gatherings, semi-annual Board meetings and more that now number in the "many dozens," I have seen Eric perform time and again in these areas. It was originally this same quality that led me to write a recommendation for him. In my work, professional and volunteer, I cannot think of someone who has done a more superior job of shepherding a Board in its work, and helping it function well and orderly, than the leadership provided by Eric Curtiss. He is a champion of organizational leadership, and I commend him to others for organizational work, Board service, and general service as a parliamentarian.
