I began my career as an analyst programmer developing software specialised in car dealer management (Porsche Chrysler and Yamaha recommended software). After having held the post of R&D department manager, in 1997 I decided to join the PPR group at its REXEL subsidiary (world leader in electrical distribution), initially to take charge of the holding’s critical applications, then as director of corporate applications. In this role, I was responsible for rationalising the holding’s IT systems and implementing a BI application masterplan targeting supplier purchasing and key accounts. In parallel to this, I set up the first group worldwide intranet by introducing new ITC Web 2.0 – to improve the notion of employee identity with the group, to encourage employees to work together by limiting their travel on international assignments.
