I founded a Last Mile Delivery company with a contract to deliver for Amazon Prime. We exceeded $5M/yr in revenue. We handled Amazon's delivery operations in South San Jose, Los Gatos, and Santa Cruz. Within 3 months of founding, I scaled the company to ~100 employees and handled 10k+ packages/day. I exited after my company was acquired in 2022.

My team created the services and data platform that power Today @ Apple (https://www.apple.com/today). The system scales massively, and reliably handled some of the largest internet traffic spikes in the world, with zero downtime. Today @ Apple is the most visible initiative in the Apple Retail business unit, requiring extreme levels of cross-functional engagement with other engineering, marketing, legal, publishing, and design stakeholders to get every release out the door.

My wife and I founded a company that built and operated multiple Great Clips hair salons in the Bay Area. We exited when another company acquired our portfolio in 2020. We are battle-hardened entrepreneurs, having hired (and let go) 150+ employees since starting. We were hands-on with every aspect of the business, from recruiting, training, retaining, advertising, marketing, accounting, payroll, legal, and HR. We built the business from the ground up and have acquired reams of knowledge & experience surviving and thriving in this highly-competitive market.

I managed the Adobe Mobile Services engineering team in Adobe's Marketing Cloud. Our vision was to unify and drive a Mobile strategy across all cloud product lines. Fun Fact - I invented the core storage & retrieval algorithms of what would eventually become the Adobe Places service (Adobe's first location-aware technology stack).

I started as a Server Engineer writing servers and deploying services, eventually becoming the Engineering Manager. Fun Fact - I architected, designed, developed and deployed a new Line of Business for my division - Primetime Cloud DRM (our org's first Software-as-a-Service offering).

I split time between Dev and QE for Adobe’s first DRM product - Flash Access DRM, and eventually became its QE Manager. Inception to release of the product was 18 months. Soon after, Flash Access had stratospheric growth & became one of the world’s top video DRM technologies.

I worked on Microsoft’s final-generation DRM – PlayReady DRM. Creating secure software to defend the world’s most hacker-targeted platform gave me a new appreciation for code hardening, reviewing, and auditing. The entire PlayReady solution was designed, implemented, and released in less than a year.

I developed the decisioning system for implantable cardiac pacemakers at St. Jude Medical. This is a highly-regulated medical field with zero margin for error. Lives depended on us to ship with zero bugs. I cut my teeth on learning how great process can drive great software.

I worked on encryption tools for file-system and email clients in the beautiful Central Coast town of Grover Beach.
