Eric has spent his first 20 years as an entrepreneur and Co-CEO of Sunshine Fitness. In 2003, Eric opened the first Planet Fitness franchise in Altamonte Springs, FL, marking the beginning of a revolution in the fitness industry. During his time with Sunshine Fitness, DBA Planet Fitness, Eric, as Co-CEO, supervised Marketing and Development and sat on the Marketing Committee for Planet Fitness Corporate. He also served as Co-CEO of Sunshine alongside his business partner. After opening dozens of clubs, Eric and his partner became the 2nd & 3rd members of the exclusive Planet Fitness Corporate Hall of Fame, a vital component of the original advisory board that helped with the evolution of Planet Fitness from another neighborhood gym into a nationally recognized brand. Their work with the board paved the way for the existing Franchise Advisory Council. Currently, the hall of fame consists of only 8 members of a fitness chain that serves over 16 million members. At the end of 2017, Eric and his partners sold majority ownership of Sunshine Fitness’ 32 clubs for $110M, becoming one of the first in-nework companies to partner with an outside private equity group, TSG Consumer Partners. 20 years after Eric wrote the business plan of the first planet fitness franchise and 114 clubs later, Sunshine Fitness sold once again for $800M to corporate in February of 2022. He was the first to notice the vision and opportunity of the revolutionary business model used for Planet Fitness and now sees the similar potential of CMS in the aesthetics industry.To date, Eric has opened 4 Couture Med Spa locations that are currently producing over $1M in EBITDA per annum. In 2023, the first 2 franchise groups opened their doors for business in S. Florida and New Hampshire. A 3rd franchise unit will be opening the fall of 2023 in Virginia.
