– Designed and developed components of the Distribution, Bursting and Viewing Platformv2 (DBV2). DBV2 is a high-availabilty, PCI compliant platform for the Discover Networkto handle receipt and delivery of thousands of business critical mainframe reports andsettlement files daily.– Owner of DBV2 database: data modeling, schema migrations, and PL/SQL procedures.– Wrote DBV2 Registration module, which loads incoming files to the platform and appliesheuristics to determine the destination.– Maintained custom Apache Http Server module that controls User Authentication andAuthorization via a REST service calls.

REGULUS - Designed and developed a Java 6 application with a Swing interface to retrieve data from 5 data warehouses containing over 5TB of data via JDBC and provide 10 different interactive visualizations. This reduced 40 man-hours of work to approximately 5 minutes. - Designed the database table schema for the Lightning Storm data warehouse. - Took over as primary maintainer and supporter of the legacy Ice Storm project. This was comprised of Perl data loaders (which ran 24/7), a MySQL database, and PHP reporting system. - Developed utility programs in Perl from analysts' requirements to parse and format large data filesOPIR Training Management Database - Implemented with a team of 3 a website powered by Spring, Hibernate, Struts and jQuery to track continuous learning objectives for over 50 subject matter experts, provide automated testing, and provide command staff quick lookup of qualified individuals suited for specific tasks. - Developed the email generation subsystem, which uses Freemarker templates to allow changes in marking requirements, and relays the messages through the local site Exchange server. - Headed deployment process by coordinating the necessary configuration with the onsite contact. - Personally deployed and configured the application on the Tomcat server and initialized the Postgres database for a milestone demo and the final deliverable.FSLOD Prototype - Customized and documented open source, Java SE 6, XMPP chat client “Spark” for integration with the Java, Spring and Swing based “Master Console” and “Roleplayer” components of the project. - Developed functionality to quickly generate Situation Reports from a chat window to send through an XMPP server using a custom message format.
