About Eric Eastman, Mph

I am a Highly motivated educator with a background in kinesiology, health, and athletics I am passionate, skilled, collaborative, communicative, and flexible. In my undergraduate coursework, I studied Exercise Science and worked with patients with disabilities in a land-based and aquatic setting. In my fieldwork, I educated clients and students on the techniques of flexibility, relaxation, manual resistance and adapted exercise machine use.In my post-bac work, I gained experience at a Physical Therapy clinic for 3 years where I assisted patients with various disabilities and injuries in their rehabilitation programs in the land-based setting and aquatic setting. While working at the clinic, I completed a teaching credential to teach physical education to students with disabilities.After receiving my credential, I taught Adapted Physical Education in San Diego for 5 years and concurrently completed a Masters of Public Health with an emphasis in Health Promotion through National University. I aspire to continue educating students with disabilities, parents of students with disabilities, and advocate for the special needs community. I desire a position in higher education to educate individuals about chronic diseases that affect the special needs community.
