HTS reformat is a group of 4 people who maintain the Senomyx corporate compound collection and present the synthesized small molecules and fractions of natural extracts to HTS in an assay ready format.• Organized the selection, purchase, format and screening of an annual 50,000-100,000 member vendor compound library acquisition.• Expanded the use of the acoustic transfer system to create compound plates for positive and negative allosteric modulating assays.

• Promoted the broader use of tipless acoustic transfer technology as a preferred means to present compounds for Senomyx assays.• Wrote and incorporated operating procedures to aid in achieving uniformity in the product HTS reformat prepares for assay. • Curated the Senomyx vendor catalog database used for compound acquisition using ChemAxon tools. This database is kept current with screening, natural compound and building block collections from global suppliers.

• Apoptos, Inc. (currently Receptos, Inc.) o Apoptos was a BioPharma company that developed small molecules that induced tumor apoptosis. o Worked with the lead chemist to create and implement a low cost ChemDraw/Excel file based chemical registration and submission system.• Intellikine, Inc. (acquired by Takeda Pharmaceuticals) o Intellikine developed small molecules indicated for cancer and inflammation. o Implemented and trained the Intellikine scientists on the use of a Cambridgesoft ChemFinder/BioAssay SQL Server database solution to house and view the Intellikine structure and activity data.

Biotech Focused On Allosteric Kinase Small Molecules For Inflammation

• Managed the Compound Management Services (CMS) within Kémia. CMS maintained, registered and distributed Kémia’s reagents, proprietary intermediates and final compounds.• Created Oracle objects using Cambridgesoft BioAssay and composing SQL to house Kémia’s biology and pharmacology data.• Worked with Kémia project teams to tailor project specific SAR views using Symyx, Cambrigesoft, Spotfire and Oracle applications.• Created Kémia’s small-molecule sample and structure registration system.• Managed personnel involved in analytical and spectroscopic chemistry support, discovery information technology as well as CMS. • Migrated Kémia’s MDL based cheminformatics system to a Cambridgesoft and Spotfire cheminformatics platform in 2005.

• Responsible for transfer of structure-activity relationship (SAR) data necessitated by the DuPont acquisition of CombiChem, Inc.• Migrated data residing in CombiChem, Inc. corporate structural databases to the DuPont Pharma corporate collection.• Created DPRL’s compound registration database in an MDL/Oracle relational chemical gateway (RCG) environment.• Developed all of DPRL’s ISIS project SAR databases and established the protocol for the transfer, upload and maintenance of screening data into the project ISIS databases from DuPont-Wilmington.• Member of DuPont Pharma Compound Registration Team. This multi-campus team put together and implemented the business rules and procedures of registering compounds into the DuPont Pharma Daylight, Oracle and ISIS suite of databases housing the corporate collection.

Used Computational Design And Parallel Synthesis To Discover New Medicines

• Directed a team of 4 individuals focused on supporting CombiChem’s compound and reagent management needs.• Designed, installed and established the structure registration and data tracking system used by the Medicinal Chemistry and Computational Design groups in CombiChem, Inc.• Supervised the assembly, plating and distribution of the CombiChem 13,000 member Universal Informer Library (UIL).• Assembled and continuously updated a consolidated chemical database displaying 500,000 discreet screening compounds available from worldwide vendors.• Managed a $200,000 annual budget dedicated to robotic upgrades and acquisition.

• Introduced robotic weigh/label and liquid transfer work stations to the CombiChem, Inc. workflow, which translated into increased compound productivity for the company.• Developed a novel solid-phase substituted imidazole synthesis strategy used in a 264-member library.• Maintained CombiChem’s 300Mhz Varian NMR.
