Designing and upgrading professional-grade charcoal grills, including creating fabrication drawings and providing support throughout the fabrication process, reverse engineering and creating fabrication drawings for sheet metal assemblies defined by other companies in need of Hasty Bake’s manufacturing capabilities, creating detailed cost quotes for other companies’ designs.

Developing standards and managing outside engineering firm (JANA, Inc.) to create Interior Placard Installation drawings using AutoCAD for all AA fleets. Pioneering data scrubbing, drafting, and aircraft surveying techniques to ensure all applicable data is correct and clearly and concisely defined in one place.

Designing and creating engineering drawings for fabrication of aircraft interior monuments (for Boeing 737-700 & -800 BBJs and Airbus A318 & A319 ACJs), including lavatories, galleys, bulkheads, wardrobes, and other structures (working with input from Structures, Stress, Electrical, & Systems engineers) using sketch-driven top down 3D modeling and drafting through SolidWorks. Providing liaison engineering support throughout the production cycle, incorporating all required changes or enhancements to designs as required. Often utilized as subject matter expert in SolidWorks, frequently creating design standards & developing engineering How To documentation for difficult modeling/drafting tasks.

Contributing new repairs and supporting the existing Interiors maintenance program as well as implementing modifications of the interior layout and components (lavatories, seats, etc.) of the B737 and MD80 American Airlines fleets. Pioneering a new departmental role as Reliability Liaison for the B737/MD80 Interiors group to provide detailed analyses of past component failure rates in order to predict future performance and create awareness of current trends.

Designing custom cement pump trucks, trailers, skids and similar oilfield equipment using SolidWorks and AutoCAD extensively in conjunction with Symix (material handling database). Performing various mechanical analyses for technology upgrades such as evaluating stability of proposed cement tub level control system and methods of direct tub level measurement via transducers.
