As a project engineer for a nation-wide general contractor, I have designed projects with a variety of design codes and structural framing systems. Working in a multiple discipline firm, engineering support is provided to architects, MEP engineers, structural steel detailers and their fabricator, cold formed steel stud panel detailers and their fabricator, and the field construction team. Responsibilities include:• Preparing structural pricing estimates, specifications, and construction documents.• Managing construction change documents and providing construction field team support. • Leading the structural engineering department implementation of Revit Structure.• Developing and training multi-discipline teams on BIM work sharing and work flow changes.• Specialty design tasks include: steel stud cladding, medical equipment supports, construction bracing, and essential facility seismic bracing.

As an Assistant Project Engineer at STS, I worked on both new construction projects and the evaluation existing structures. A majority of the structural evaluation work was for clients in the petroleum refining, chemical processing, and paper manufacturing industries. Project responsiblities included:• Constructing structural analysis models to confirm strengths and detail wood, steel, and concrete structural elements using RISA 3D and SAP 2000.• Assisting in field inspections and performed pre-construction surveys.• Preparing proposals, project reports, specifications, and cost estimates.• Specialty project types included: evaluation of concrete rectangular tanks, marina structures, radial arm tainter gate dam evaluations, and the design of an outfall structure for the McCormick Place underground stormwater system.
