Consulting and tool-building to drive performance in revenue and community impact with a focus on product development, i.e. framing impact efforts as investment opportunities.

Support the national network of United Ways in developing effective partnerships and strategies that improve early education outcomes, including in the areas of healthy early childhood development, kindergarten readiness, third grade reading, and middle school success. Represent the United Way network in national partnerships with major nonprofit and governmental institutions.

Support the national network of United Ways in transforming to organizations that mobilize individuals and instititions to address community issues. Special emphasis is providing technical assistance and tool and learning program development in areas of community-level planning and evaluation and organizational change.

• Advance the conceptual framework for applying a results focus to early childhood initiatives.• Develop and deliver presentations on planning and outcome measurement at staff conferences, state meetings, through teleconferencing, and in other national venues.• Provide technical assistance to grantees in developing logic models, identifying outcomes, and selecting and measuring indicators for success.• Manage grantee information on activities, outcomes, and indicators and identify commonalties and effective practices across initiatives.• Support other United Way of America community-building activities in the areas of community outcomes and planning.• Develop partnerships with national organizations that support an outcome focus for United Way community initiatives.
