• Employed by Loxcreen Metalsource, a manufacturer of aluminum extrusions and distributor of those products in addition to flat rolled aluminum and stainless steel, to purchase stock items sold by four distribution units and manage inventory down to acceptable corporate guidelines. • Inventory has been reduced from $5.3 million to current level of $3.3 million while sales have remained flat to marginally improved resulting in dramatically improved inventory turns.• Upgraded the supplier base of flat rolled aluminum to enhance the quality of product being sold enabling sales to sell product with confidence that quality would be acceptable to a broad range of end use applications.• Provide pricing instructions to enhance profitability of aluminum and stainless flat rolled being sold. Also critical to increased sales of these products is the implementation of a system to restock the four locations in a timely and orderly manner using supply chain techniques to prevent shortages.• Developed a system to reduce aged inventory, defined by the company as more than one year old, by 50% at present from levels at the time of initial employment. This has been accomplished by eliminating non performing inventory items, engaging sales to enforce agreements with customers to take customer specific inventory in a timely manner according to company guidelines and by purchasing quantities consistent with the current level of sales.
