As a hospitalist, I provide comprehensive and compassionate care to patients with a wide range of medical conditions. I am board certified in internal medicine and nephrology, and have extensive training and experience in both fields. I completed my internal medicine residency at Brown University/Rhode Island Hospital and my nephrology fellowship at Brigham and Women's Hospital/Massachusetts General Hospital.In addition to my clinical practice, I am passionate about advancing the use of data science in healthcare, especially in critical care nephrology. I am an instructor at Harvard Medical School and a research affiliate at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where I conduct research on using large clinical databases to answer questions and identify disparities in care. My recent study published in JAMA Internal Medicine, which I presented to the FDA, showed that racial disparities in pulse oximeter performance are associated with lower rates of supplemental oxygen delivery for minority patients. I also hold multiple edX verified certificates in data science and collaborative data science for healthcare.
