As president and CEO of the Americas region for GE’s Gas Power business, my core philosophy and north star has always been—and continues to be—doing right by our customers and the assets they entrust us with. I oversee the most talented, innovative professionals in the industry, focused on offering our utility, IPP, and industrial cogeneration customers the right solutions to help them operate their power generation assets more efficiently, leading them to win in a competitive energy marketplace. Be it a turnkey plant, a multi-year service agreement, or supporting the need for quality parts, repairs, upgrades or software, I am committed to delivering with speed, agility, and operational excellence. I joined GE Power in 2001 as a plant chemist, working closely onsite with customers as a contract performance manager, have gained experience across various regional and global commercial, product management, sales, and operations roles. I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Indiana University, and a Master’s in Business Administration from Georgia State University. I live and work in Atlanta, Georgia, with my wife and four daughters.

Since the beginning of 2018, my role has expanded to leading the global Commercial Team for GE's Power Services business globally. What I love most about my role is that I get to continue the best part of all my roles to date: working with customers to partner with them on solutions that build value for them and GE.

In 2017, my role expanded to include the Product Management Team. This was a new learning opportunity for me to get engaged with new product introduction decisions to help our customers with solutions they will need for their aeroderivatives, B-Class, E-Class, F-Class, H-Class and Cross-Fleet assets to remain competitive in the future.

Post-Alstom acquisition we formed the Multi-Year Agreement Team that was responsible for launching new customer value initiatives within our contracts such as Rotor Up (Rotor Asset Management). I've enjoyed working in the multi-year agreement space because it allows us to partner best with our customers where we both have skin in the game. When we know we will be servicing our customers assets for the next 10-15 years we both make the right decisions for the assets. We also have the ability to support customers in managing risk for the duration of the assets' life. Additionally we can structure unique agreements that will fit the needs of any customer.

I continued on my operations journey by taking on increasing roles of responsibility in the North America North Region and eventually led the merger of our North and West regions as the North Region General Manager. In 2014, I got the call to lead the Global Multi-Year Agreement Sales Team. While I had completed many contract renegotiations and supported the signing of many new contracts while in my operations roles this was the first full commercial role I held. It was great because it allowed me to expand my knowledge on global markets and learn how our products could be used to support customers in very different markets.In 2015, I then went back into Operations as the North America General Manager to help the business until the Alstom acquisition was completed. I was already familiar with the North America North Region so this allowed me to expand my knowledge on our South Region customers as well.

As a former Contract Performance Manager and graduate of the Project Management Leadership Program, I transitioned into my first formal leadership role managing CPMs. I really enjoyed this opportunity to put all my business acumen to use helping others develop theirs.

GE's PMLP is an accelerated two-year rotational training program to develop project managers' technical and leadership skills directing complex projects while exceeding customers' expectations.When GE launched the PMLP, I was invited to participate in the inaugural class and I could not pass it up. Given that it was a new program, I had a lot of flexibility on my rotations and it provided commercial, finance, supply chain, product engineering, and project management experience. I learned the business from the perspective of multiple functions - something that would have taken years to do outside a rotational program.

I had heard great things about GE, so when an opportunity came up to be the Plant Chemist for a new power plant that GE was operating, I was excited to join and apply my BS in Chemistry.
