I am a construction law and commercial litigation lawyer. I typically act for general contractors on industrial, commercial, and institutional (ICI) construction projects throughout Ontario. I also regularly defend architects and engineers of all disciplines against professional negligence actions. I have represented clients before Ontario’s Superior Court of Justice, Divisional Court, and Court of Appeal. I have also acted for construction clients on actions in Manitoba and Newfoundland.I have acted on claims on wastewater treatment plants, highway and bridge construction, trenchless installations, community centres, schools, and university buildings, manufacturing facilities, large retail stores, and residential condominiums. These claims have included registering and vacating construction liens, breach of trust claims, breach of contract claims, claims on labour and material payment bonds and at other times defending the bond’s surety, claims for construction delay and deficiencies, and professional negligence claims against design professionals. I have also acted on bidding and tendering claims.
