They were one of the first "fintech" lenders and innovators of financial products based on speculating future revenue and recapturing payments automatically and originally through credit card processing with a portion of each swipe going towards repayment. This is not a loan but really a form of low security factoring and eventually the process evolved to collect these future receivables with a more structured pace through bank account deductions also keeping the product from being considered a loan. This process was revolutionary and AmeriMerchant / Capify is enshrined in the industry for historically overturning a usage patent from a competitor in court which opened up this entire industry. My value to the company was to develop and apply evolving financial products and hybrid concepts to demonstrate a higher value multiple of the company based on future revenue possibilities. Capify U.S. operations were successfully planned for acquisition by Strategic Funding Source (one of the top 10 funders by volume on deBanked 2016 Leaderboard) and acquired as planned and my role was completed.
