Keysight invested in building a new prototype and production shop in Colorado Springs, and as the first process engineer in PMTC - COS I focused on the stabilization and quality of low volume, design-unstable manufacturing processes. With our small team, my day to day activities included qualifying our Santa Rosa processes in Colorado, tracking & onboarding new equipment and tooling, and pioneering I4.0 infrastructure to build the next generation of shop. I worked every day directly with machinists, engineers, supply chain, and designers and implemented improvements to our metalworking capabilities. For design and machining, I used Siemens NX CAD/CAM, Siemens TeamCenter, and directly edited NC code on multiple controller types to ramp up manufacturing within Colorado Springs.

As a process engineer within PMTC - Santa Rosa at Keysight, I focused on the manipulation and quality of low volume, design-unstable manufacturing processes. My day to day activities included improving part yield, exploring new research within the industry to push our current technology, and working directly with machinists, engineers, and designers to understand and implement ways to improve our manufacturing capabilities. I was found on the shop floor discovering and documenting root causes of our process problems, and I used different CAD, CAM, and metrology software to achieve those goals every day.
