Throughout this internship I worked on feasibility studies on energy management projects on large campuses. I developed building and distribution models from utility consumption data to simulate long-term usage changes as campuses grow. I worked to identify areas of improvement and size equipment, as well as performed cost benefit analyses to determine the rate of return on renewable energy projects.

Throughout my terms as a Project Engineering Co-op, I worked with plant engineering, maintenance, and production teams to complete a variety of projects to improve plant safety, manufacturing processes, and provide new and improved infrastructure. I solicited approval for and managed 16 capital projects over the course of my two terms as a Co-op. My responsibilities throughout these projects included soliciting multiple bids on proposed work, maintaining cost control sheets to reconcile general ledger entries throughout projects, and managing all contractors involved with the projects.I frequently utilized Autodesk Inventor to produce 3D models and drawings to improve equipment reliability and functionality. I reviewed vibration data collected on rotating equipment to provide insight on equipment health and prevent breakdowns. I also prepared reliability reports which tracked downtime events and identify equipment suffering from repetitive failures.
