My extensive experience in Lab IT healthcare in both the health system and vendor environments have prepared me to bring many valuable skills to your team. While many of my job responsibilities have been technical, my experience has also allowed me to:• Lead cross-functional teams as a Project Manager on more than thirty major projects both at Baptist Health South Florida and prior to that at Sunquest Information Systems, including one in Saudi Arabia• Develop and apply departmental policies as they relate to daily operations• Assist with developing and maintaining operational and capital budgets• Create long range plans for equipment, personnel and strategies for the continued growth of laboratory business• Negotiate system contracts with various vendors • Maintain accreditation status with all applicable organizations, ensuring that all TJC, CAP, AABB, state and federal guidelines were followed• Participate as an inspector in numerous College of American Pathologists inspections• Implementation of Point of Care interfaces which resulted in estimated revenue increase of two million dollars as well as improving patient care by providing easy online access to lab results instead of error-prone handwritten reportsHaving a patient centered vision of safe, efficient, less costly services and employing technology to achieve those goals is what excites me.
