Who am I? ⚖️I'm a technology leader that spends time with his family, cooks some nights (and now baking), won't ever stop coding, and loves to solve problems. I am passionate about mentoring and learning to better myself and others. I believe there are times for process and there are times to move fast, and those need not always conflict. Finally, while I am certainly in it for the business value and always will be, I sure do love tech. It's really damn cool. What am I doing? 🎟️I am building awesome teams that drive value and results to my clients. I am not working with jerks (or at least I'm going to help them stop being jerks). And I'm leading with empathy because the world needs more and I am here to help. How did I do it? 💻 I've worked with data, a lot. I've built data platforms on Snowflake, Databricks, Microsoft and Azure Native tools, Oracle, Teradata and many many MANY more. I've used just about every data engineering tool. I have a few modern certifications to show for this (I am working on expanding that list). Same goes for data visualization (try me, I've worked with it or looked at it). I'm focused on value and I've solved a lot of really cool business problems. I helped a data company in the healthcare space get insights to their revenue pipeline, gave them tools to increase that pipeline, and shined light on outstanding invoices lowering costs and driving topline revenue. I've also reduced waste at a restaurant by implementing an ML model - leveraging IoT data - to help predict order volume. And I've identified $2 million USD in savings for a group purchasing organization in service of them and their private equity ownership fund. I have written about data a lot, too. I've built commercial due diligence reports for Database companies. I've assessed and advised over 250 companies on their data architecture and strategy. And, I've written reports to help a PE fund invest in the right Data company. I've worked for companies large and small, in just about every industry you can imagine, except government (I don't know why this is, but it makes for a simple description, right?). Last, I've been a CTO and developed web apps in .NET. This the wrong section, but it fits here: I also really love source control, CI/CD and *Ops, and Agile processes. That trio solves so many problems elegantly, how can you not love them?
