My name is Eric Horvat, and I am a recent graduate from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. In school, I majored in Marketing with a minor in Photography. Through my past extracurricular involvements and unique work experiences I have received a base set of skills necessary to add value within this career. Not only that, but I have also gained a passion for marketing which will push me to challenge myself and grow my current skill set.I have developed and refined my creativity skills through my 9+ years of experience as a freelance photographer. In my role as a freelance photographer, I've been commissioned by local businesses for advertising projects and by individuals to capture significant life events like engagements and graduations. More notable, I've provided photography services for a clothing company based in Milwaukee to coordinate its social media marketing campaigns. Since joining the brand, I've contributed to the growth of over 130,000 Instagram followers, and handled hundreds of sales inquiries through social media and ecommerce platforms. This role allows me to flex my creativity by strategizing which photos or videos will be best received by the brand's audience to create the greatest amount of follower interaction and generate sales. I really enjoy the challenge of considering how, with the vast number of brands available to consumers, to make this brand stand out. I find that this challenge consistently drives me to enhance my creativity, and I aspire to remain in a role that presents such challenges.My experiences have shaped my passion for marketing and have developed my critical thinking, communication, and creativity skills. I am looking forward to bringing these skills into a future career which I can use as an opportunity to push my learning further and add value to the company and the people within it.I'm excited about the prospect of connecting with like-minded professionals.
