As a member of the public sector team, I implemented changes to win and then support a contract with a large government client. I modified front-end components written in both Dojo and React to improve accessibility of existing components. I collaborated with third party consultants whom I relied on for advice on best practices. I also made back-end changes to API business logic as well as modifications to a separate processing service that handles computationally expensive operations.

Part of a team responsible for processing payments for software connecting orthodontics patients with lenders. Developed auditing procedures, identified root causes of issues, created new endpoints for our software. Much of the logic resided in stored procedures which gave my SQL skills some extra exercise.

Led a team of four other developers while working with QA and our product owner to deliver features. Worked with a team to develop a kiosk that handled credit card reading, accepting cash, printing receipts and dispensing cards. The system interacted with KIOSK servers for reporting, a payment processor for transactions as well as a customer endpoint for reporting transaction data.• Responsible for architecture and communication flow between front end and back end via SignalR for customer functionality.• Developed integration with cash acceptor hardware for accepting bills as well as reacting to and reporting errors.• Worked with product owner, designer and the client to develop screens and ensure good ease of use and good, consistent styling throughout the application.• Utilized MongoDB to store transaction history data via a dedicated data layer to manage storage and retrieval.Additional responsibilities included client demos of progress at the end of each sprint as well as taking on the role of scrum master. As sole developer for a medium sized business, responsible for working with employees across the breadth of the company to identify areas for improvement, assess business needs, gather requirements and get feedback on projects as they're developed. Developed several WPF applications backed by an Oracle database as well as company libraries for easy code reuse in both C# and VB.

Worked on contract to test aircraft radio software. Tasks ranged from code inspection in C, automated test authoring in JavaScript and advising peers on testing methodology.

Worked on a team with one professor and 2 – 3 other students developing the Interactive Visualizations in Particle Physics (IViPP) program (C++). Lead design and creation of a Python library to allow users to quickly and easily build complex three dimensional geometries via constructive solid geometry.
