Eric brings a wealth of experience to his role as a dedicated Portfolio Manager. He was a successful entrepreneur and investor who set up and sold several businesses he found before starting to manage investors' portfolios. Since then, Eric has built an investing and wealth practice specializing in helping high-net-worth and high-income investors, business owners, executives, and professionals in Canada and the United States to achieve their financial freedom and the most important wealth and life goals. As a licensed Senior Portfolio Manager, Eric is among the few accredited advisors who can offer advisor-managed discretionary portfolio management service. He is also a member of RBC DS firm’s prestigious Director’s Council, which honors advisors who exhibit the highest standards of ethics, service, and performance.Eric graduated from Texas A&M Int’l University with MBA degree in International Banking with a concentration in Finance. After earning his MBA, he spent more than 25 years working for large U.S. and Canadian, and Chinese companies as a manager and director for different operations, and later became an entrepreneur and investor. During these years, he continued to sharpen his investment knowledge from some of the world best investors. He founded several successful businesses including an investment newsletter, and later joined TD Wealth as an Investment Advisor in 2010. Eric has been with RBC Dominion Securities since 2014.Eric is married and has two adult children. In his spare time, he enjoys reading financial, investing, and business books, and enjoy traveling, swimming, playing table tennis and public speaking. He is a church Sunday school teacher and life group leader. Eric is the Honorary President of Canada Sichuan and Chongqing Society and was the founding President for White Rock/ South Surrey Chinese Association.
