 Stewarded World Oil Award Finalist, BEACON Trusted Operations (TOPS), from inception to commercialization and took over as the technical lead after two years on the team. Developed C# gateways from vendor software to third-party endpoints to enable data transfer and communication between the two systems creating real-time monitoring of GIS sensors located on Baker Hughes equipment in the field. Designed enhancements to vendor software to provide reliable, robust service from the rig network to our datacenter servers. These designs included a buffer to prevent bursting the satellite network’s bandwidth and a multi-video record design to enable high availability of video data. Diagnosed software complications while passing data through the Baker network and provided recommendations for upgrading from .Net Remoting to WCF to solve the issue. Saved customers thousands of dollars per month by reducing the required bandwidth of streaming a video camera over satellite networks. Designed numerous architectures of the TOPS system for various field tests for BP, Chevron and BHI Cementing. Produced training, troubleshooting, and support documentation and systems documentation for post-commercialization support teams. Developed administrative applications to assist in configuration the TOPS system more quickly and efficiently using C# and Visual Studio. Programmed custom SSRS reports to retrieve critical information from the TOPS SQL database to provide more user friendly and functional information than the vendor’s system displayed.  Installed and configured vendor’s system in R&D, testing, staging and production systems, and followed change management procedures to upgrade versions into production. Led technical team of vendors and TOPS team members during major system update of live security system.
