I am a self-starter and I’m always trying to improve. Upon completing my BS in Accounting, I entered public accounting as a tax intern, but ended up in IT. Throughout my career, I utilized technology and data to solve business problems - as a tax intern I created a digital workflow management solution. This project ended up being a major catalyst of the firm becoming a technology-driven workplace and much of the work I did helped to enable the company to grow and expand. This experience led to me becoming BI/Data Analytics Manager, a role in which I was responsible for data governance, data warehouse and BI reporting infrastructure, creating Power BI reports and dashboards, and ensuring mission-critical data was accurate and available. I also successfully managed many projects and affected tremendous change. Eventually I sought new challenges and wanted to focus more on the helping other companies leverage this awesome technology! My next step was to work as a BI Applications Developer at another company, where I worked with the Safety and Accounting departments to implement solutions to business problems. I worked heavily with SQL, the Power Platform, and introduced the company to comprehensive Power BI reporting. I managed a Safety Department project from the ground up - identifying needs and solutions, stakeholder engagement, performing technical work developing solutions with SQL and Power Apps, and delivering meaningful insights using Power BI. I continue to work with CPA firms that run CCH Axcess, where I help them take their reporting to the next level with Power BI. I help identify areas to focus reporting efforts, manage the implementation from start to finish, and create custom-tailored reports and dashboards. I also aggregate data from multiple sources into comprehensive real-time reports and dashboards and provide a birds’ eye view into the KPIs that matter the most to my clients. I serve clients in other industries too.
