My primary duties were to conduct interviews, underwrite loan applications, close loans and sell insurance. However, I was also tasked with collections/skip tracing efforts and with performing accounts receivable/payable duties.

I started with Indymac as a temp tasked with verifying the financial information of potential borrowers, but was soon given special authorization to assist Underwriters in the clearing of other loan conditions as well. My role was then further expanded to include the full review and processing of mortgage loan applications with an offer of full-time employment. I also received two promotions during my time with Indymac. With the first of these, I became an Account Manager mediating between our Underwriters and our clients. And with the second promotion, I was charged with conducting interviews and reviewing housing developments to assess risk levels and to uncover fraud. In this final role, I answered directly to one of our Vice Presidents and worked side-by-side another.

Obtained two Associates Degrees in Applied Science. One with a focus on Criminal Justice and the other with a focus on Paralegal.
