+ Provide formal and informal training, coaching, mentoring to Ryder associates: must be able to translate Business System concepts to local situations and help individuals and teams progress in understanding and correct application for sustainable business improvements. Assisting and/or leading the execution of Lean Assessments. Coach process owners how to use engineering and Lean methods to achieve operational excellence. Support business start-ups, retrofits and expansions including pricing inputs, go-live and steady state certifications. Oversee all functions related to quality assurance and processes for a start-up or expansion+ Lead the development and execution of strategy blueprinting, scorecarding and key performance indicator action plans. Establishes and implements performance measures. Provide regular reports of data and actions to measure progress against the site objectives. Work with site leadership to conduct assessments of critical site and business needs. Actively partnering with process owners to ensure results delivered / future state achieved and ability to connect the dots in the Operations function and ensure business priorities come first. Establish agenda and frequency and lead the regular Management Review meetings. Develop a thorough effective and timely continuous improvement plan to address the top business needs at Ryder sites (transformation plan development and execution). Drive process improvement activities to achieve dramatic improvement in the key business metrics of safety, quality, delivery, cost, and employee development + Effective facilitation and execution of Value Stream Maps & Kaizen Events through all stages (A3 charter ideation / creation, pre-work identification and completion, delivery of results in Kaizen week, regular follow up and follow through on sustainment). Independently identifies process gaps, recommends and implements process improvement.

•Responsible for systems and controls to ensure external and internal customer satisfaction via continuous improvement of all processes and products while meeting all cost reduction objectives.•Maintains dotted line responsibility to NA Director of Continuous Improvement.•Using DMAIC methodology, statistical and lean tools, to leads department activities in Plant in order to improve processes.•Documents and presents proposed projects to the Plant Manager and NA Director of Continuous Improvement for project approval.•Provides timely communication of project progress and outcomes to the NA Director of Continuous Improvement according to established timelines.•Provides Best Business Practice internal report.•Provides support to other plants, as needed, during the implementation of Best Business Practices.•Work with GAP Analysis and closure the GAP as is required.•Provides CI roadmap review and action plan as is required to achieve targeted annual savings.•Lead and apply DMAIC methodology for top initiatives.•Provide capital project list, obtain capital funding and execute capital projects on time and within budget.•Mentor and coach DMAIC responsible as Black Belts and CI Practitioners (Green Belts and Lean Practitioners) for the success of the continuous improvement projects.•Assure JCMS implementation and Maturity assessment. •Manage assigned production supervisors to accomplish duties as laid out below.•Ensure the production of products in accordance to product design specifications.•Ensure the use of established quality production processes that meet documented product standards•Ensure desired standard production rates and product yields are achieved from the use of raw materials.•Timely output of product in response to customer orders.•Ensure proper operation and maintenance of all production equipment in the plant.•Establish procedures for the effective performance of production tasks and to supervise staff in the proper execution of those procedures.•Support and implement JCMS principles throughout production.•Proper execution of appropriate disciplinary actions. Disciplinary actions regarding suspension or termination are implemented through a review board.•Provide recommendations to the Plant Manager for capital investments to maintain or improve the quality of the production process.•Oversee the job tasks available and coordinate the adjusted work for employees with work restrictions.•Provide timely reporting as required by plant procedures.•Follow appropriate BOS, JCMS and other company Policies and Procedures.•Participate as a regular member of the management team.•All other duties as assigned

•Ensures that all machine equipment and operators are set-up properly to product quality parts at the required production rate.•Ensures all operations are in compliance with all process standards, quality standards, operator instructions and packaging standards as posted on the Job Boards where applicable.•Works with the Quality Department in maintaining the standard of quality, which is acceptable to our customer. Any deviations from that standard or from the quality must be reported immediately to the Quality Department.•Ensures notification to the Quality Manager and Operations Manager any time that quality deviations affect the product output, or the quality issue cannot be corrected.•Ensures that production and quality requirements are met.•Ensures all employees follow all company policies and procedures for the proper operation of the department•Ensures all housekeeping and safety standards are maintained.•Informs the Maintenance Department of any necessary repairs needed to production equipment.•Purses continuous improvement within the department in quality, productivity, cost savings and safety. Reports to the Plant manager any ideas for continuous improvement.•Performs process checks and documents any adjustments needed.•Ensures Production reports are completed properly and forwarded to the Operations Manager.
