My passion is leveraging technology to improve the cost-effectiveness, reliability and sustainability of our electrical power systems. Very few companies are aware of the advanced commercial optimization software available today, and it is my mission to introduce them to these powerful and flexible new problem-solving techniques.Since 2009, I have been a thought leader in the energy research community where I presented at industry conferences and provided technical guidance to 20 influential Rising Clean Energy Leaders at a week-long retreat. My career spans research on power systems, risk and failures at the University of Wisconsin, complemented by engineering roles at two manufacturing firms. I hold three degrees and a certificate in Energy Analysis & Policy. These experiences allow me to effectively bridge the gap between research, academia, technology and industry.In 2015, I was the driving force behind new software implementation at an analytics firm supporting the power industry. This success led me to form my own business, Anderson Optimization, to help companies address the complicated issues relating to electrical power. I love solving problems and utilizing my knowledge to find a novel solution.With a background in math and modeling, people are always surprised at how personable and approachable I am! I am able to communicate technical jargon to diverse audiences and translate complex information into easy to understand forms.I thrive on challenge in both my professional and personal life, and have always accomplished lofty goals such as competing in marathons, triathlons and long distance swimming events. In the past year alone, I moved to Boulder, earned a PhD, got married and started a business.
