During Walmart’s initial push to compete with Amazon in eCommerce, I worked in a small JavaScript Architecture / Platform Engineering team to shape the design, infrastructure, and architecture for Walmart.com.• Built tools for and provided mentorship and code review to remote/distributed teams (~200 Engineers).• Worked to make the project stable, reliable, and usable for developers of any skill level• Helped lead re-platforming from Backone.js, Handlebars, and Thorax => React.• Helped design, develop, and ship the new Cart and Checkout single-page application.• Lead internationalization, collaborating with the React community on developing react-intl and FormatJS.

Led the initiative to modernize ReadyTalk’s Web properties introducing 2011’s bleeding edge concepts like client-side application frameworks (Backbone.js), asset minification (Grunt), and dependency management (Bower).
