As the first Chief Experience Officer (CXO) at the National Gallery of Art, I serve as the principal audience insights and strategy advisor to the executive leadership team, working to embed human-centered thinking into every aspect of the National Gallery.The Visitor Experience office supports all National Gallery divisions and departments to further our important collective mission to welcome all people to explore and experience art, creativity, and our shared humanity. We work in service of our audience and colleagues by providing audience and market research, data analytics, and visitor, staff, and volunteer feedback mechanisms that drive experiential alignment, meaningful insights, and actionable solutions. Our office also coordinates strategy and operations for all front-of-house services, visitor-facing spaces, and the museum's National Membership program. Through these efforts, we ensure that every touchpoint - before, during, and after a visit - meets the needs of our audiences and reflects a cohesive, welcoming, and authentic brand and mission.

I worked with an incredible team to develop the first Visitor Experience and Evaluation office in the National Gallery of Art's history. Together, we supported the reopening of the National Gallery through the COVID-19 pandemic, united our audience-facing service channels, and greatly expanded the scope of audience research and the impact of evaluation efforts.

As Head of Visitor Experience and Insights I acted as a strategic partner to ensure strong audience-focused outcomes at Mia. I managed the front-of-house Visitor Experience operations, as well as the design, execution, analysis and reporting of Visitor Experience research. We worked together to help internal partners develop a comprehensive understanding of the visitor, to guide strategy and influence decision-making throughout the organization and rapidly implement audience-facing change.

I held a variety of positions at the DMMO summer festival over the course of four years - working as House Staff, Assistant Stage Manager and as an Assistant in Development and Community relations.
