Working on the communications portion of the Positive Train Control system for Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA)

Responsible for all RF system and network designs covering frequency ranges from VHF to microwave. Systems include mobile communications, both conventional and trunking as well as SCADA systems and point to point backhaul systems. Major customers include most major oil sands companies.

Played pivotal role during the complex requirement gathering, tendering and implementation of the digital cross-connect system (DCS) into Motorola’s public safety system, which boosted communication capacity to 270 base stations and 120 consoles in a single switch and reduced risk while decreasing the number of switch locations across Ontario from five to four, thus saving $3.6 million in hardware costs.

Recruited to implement the province wide, $35 million, 170 hop, 300/60 channel microwave system for the OPP communications network, which was completed on time according to budget and meeting stringent specifications.Directed major design changes to the OPP microwave network as the Police Service underwent a radical realignment consolidating 11 Districts into 3 Regions.

Designed and implemented mobile communication systems for Ontario Ministry of HealthProvided engineering support for all Motorola microwave projects in Canada.
