Present: Mr. Harrison is the owner and managing attorney of Attorney West Seattle, P.S, a boutique law firm located in West Seattle, WA. The firm's mission is to help companies and individuals in West Seattle with their legal needs. The firm focuses on business law, wills & trusts, and personal injury law. Mr. Harrison has successfully settled lawsuits against Bank of America, Chipotle, Federal Way School District, Dole Foods, the City of Kent Washington, and others.Mr. Harrison is also legal counsel for Nimia.com, a cloud based SaaS offering for digital media and rights management. He successfully manages, structures and negotiates licensing agreements for various media companies. Mr. Harrison has drafted various media licensing deals with RedBull Media House, the BBC, and National Geographic Creative. In addition to the transactional digital media licensing, Mr. Harrison manages anti-piracy and copyright infringement issues. He recently reached favorable settlements against Reuters, New York Times, and USA Today. Mr. Harrison has been a speaker at several conferences and events including the Silicon Valley IP Strategy Conference, Digital Hollywood, NAB Futures, UCFT, and at the University of Washington School of Law.Past: While in law school, Mr. Harrison filed suit against multi-national corporation Dole Foods for environmental harms being caused in southwestern Guatemala. A favorable settlement was obtained from Dole Foods to implement clean water filters in the communities. Prior to law, Mr. Harrison worked for U.S. Department of Defense as a Nuclear Engineer where he managed nuclear propulsion plant testing and directed critical reactor plant operations. After three years with the Defense Department, Mr. Harrison joined the Peace Corps as a Water and Sanitation Engineer in the western mountains of rural Honduras. Mr. Harrison designed clean water systems for 20 communities affecting over 10,000 people. He later built a successful wholesale and online coffee company called Eco Café to import coffee from the rural villagers that he worked with. Mr. Harrison graduated from University of Washington School of Law in June 2012. While at law school Mr. Harrison was the President of the Business Law Association, President of the International Law Society, and Member of the Pacific Rim Law & Policy Journal. During law school, Mr. Harrison worked at the Center for Commercialization and for Intellectual Ventures, LLC.
