He transitioned to Delphi in 1997, holding positions of increasing responsibility, including Plant Manager. In 2004, Joiner joined Whirlpool Corporation as a Plant Manager, and was quickly promoted to Global Director of Operations with responsibility for Manufacturing and Supply Chain in the United States, India and China. In 2007, at the age of 35, he was named Corporate Vice President of North America; responsible for Quality, Reliability and Customer Satisfaction in United States, Canada and Mexico. In 2010, Eric founded his own company, Scorpion Data Security, a corporation specializing in records and information management; he was Chief Executive Officer. As an entrepreneur, Joiner grew the company organically and through acquisitions. In 2013, he led the successful sale of Scorpion Data Security to publicly traded company Cintas Corporation. Eric joined Johnson Electric in 2014 as a Program Management Executive, was promoted 5 times in 6 years and was responsible for multiple functions and leading a global business unit. In 2021, Joiner was hired by ITW as Vice President and General Manager where he executes the overall growth strategy for the business and provides strategic direction to simplify the company's product portfolio, expand its markets, sustain its cost position and grow operating income.
