As the Senior Director of Product Design, I oversee the interconnect and powered accessories product design for critical modules within devices, including the iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple Watch. I have more than 20 years of experience in electronics engineering, product design, and I am passionate about creating innovative and user-friendly solutions that enhance the performance and functionality.In my current and previous roles, I have led and managed multiple teams of design engineers, collaborated with cross-functional partners, and helped deliver some of the most iconic and successful consumer electronic products ever. Some of my achievements include architecting the Lightning connector, leading a small team that created Watch charging interface, developed the Smart Connector for iPad, and led design team for Magsafe3 for Macbooks. I lead the team that developed the mechanical interface design for the USB-C, and continue to contribute key updates that help make that the predominant interface for devices in the world. Created Magsafe interface for iPhone and led mechanical effort to bring magnetic contactless charging to the world as the standard called Qi2.
