All great universities have great stories. Elon University’s rise to national prominence is one of the best. I serve today as assistant vice president for academic communications where I lead a team of embedded, school-based communicators who support the strategic priorities of their respective academic units and deans. Our goal? Promote and protect Elon University’s overall brand identity as a top-ranked, student-centered learning environment by sharing the most powerful stories of impact and achievement within our community of motivated students, scholars, and mentors.At the same time, I direct marketing and communications for Elon University School of Law, the only American law school that has structured its program to graduate students in 2.5 years with an emphasis on learning by doing. Responsibilities include:1.) Crafting feature articles for both digital and print audiences2.) Developing and directing marketing strategies for Elon Law3.) Managing publication requests from administrators, offices, and faculty4.) Handling Elon Law websites and social media accounts 5.) Overseeing media relations6.)
